15 Bible Verses for Hope

Hope isn't optimism with better marketing. In Scripture, hope is something you anchor to — a Person, a promise, a future that doesn't depend on the headlines or your circumstances.    Jeremiah 29:11

   "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

   God's thoughts toward you are not random. They tend, on purpose, toward peace — and toward a future He's already planning.

   Romans 15:13

   "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit."

   Hope isn't something you generate — it's something He fills. Your job is to believe; His is to overflow you.

   "This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast."

   Hope often starts with remembering. Yesterday's mercy is the proof you'll need for tomorrow's.

   "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God."
